Neither Silver Nor Gold

"For as much as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things,  as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot."
                                                                                    I Peter 1:18,19

The Lord Jesus redeemed us not with silver or gold but with His holy blood. HE shed his precious blood for us. A man can not get salvation without paying the ransom for his sins.  In early days, the God told Moses to give a blemish lamb as an atonement for their souls.  "For the life of the flesh  is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it  is the blood  that maketh an atonement for the soul." Leviticus 17:11. The blood alone can hid the sins of the souls. The blood has life. When Cain killed his brother Abel, his blood cried unto the God from the earth. "And the LORD said unto Cain, Where  is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not:  Am I my brother's keeper? And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground." Genesis 4:9,10.  But the blood of Jesus is more precious than anything else. Jesus blood speaks better things than Abel. Abel blood cried unto the Lord for Judgment but Jesus blood submissively pleading to God to show mercy upon all mankind. "Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than  that of Abel."  Hebrews 12:24.
The Lord Jesus came as a lamb to give himself as an atonement for our souls. The Lord shed his blemish and spotless blood for us. The Lord went through pains and sufferings on the cross. Jesus was a perfect atonement for our sins. He gave his blood to redeem all mankind. "HE is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for  the sins of the whole world." I John 2:2.
HE shed His blood for us to get a joyful life. The worldly things are not worthy to redeem us from sin. The Holy God gave His only begotten son Jesus Christ to save us from sins.  "Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put  him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see  his seed, he shall prolong  his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. " Issaiah 53:10
Abraham was asked by God to give his only son as a burnt offering at Moriah. It is not so easy for a man to slay his only son and give him as a burnt offering. But Abraham obeyed God and took his son Isaac to Moriah. He was ready to sacrifice his only son because he believed that the God would give his son back with life. He believed the promises of the God. "By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten  son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:   Accounting that God  was able to raise  him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure. " Hebrews 11:17,18,19. Abraham believed that if he slayed his son to obey God, the God would rise his son from dead. No words to utter, an excellent faith  was shown by Abraham when he was tested.
The God wants to show us, how much HE loves us. So God sent His only begotten son Jesus to earth as a holy atonement to rescue us from sins. The God shew His infinite mercy and love on the cross. If you  look at the cross, surely your sins will be washed away. The holy atonement was given on the cross for us. Neither silver nor gold can rescue us from sins. Jesus blood alone is the only salvation for us. The blemish blood of the Holy Lamb surely makes us rich in all our life. Amen.

"Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk."
                                                                                          Acts 3:6

Ten Pieces of Silver

"woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find  it?   And when she hath found  it, she calleth  her friends and  her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. "
                                                                                         Luke 15:8,9

Jesus told this story to describe the joy in heaven when a sinner repent for his sin.  The women who sought the coin was the Lord himself. The silver coins he referred here was the people. The Lord seeks the sinners eagerly and wants them to be redeemed.
The God created the earth and all its well beings beautifully. He created everything in this world for men. The God created Adam in His own image. As man was created in His own image, He loved him more. He loved Adam family. The God himself visited the Eden Garden to meet Adam and Eve every morning. What a wonderful love it was!. The man did not go on to meet the God instead the God himself visited them to share His love and affection to the mankind. What a wonderful God He is!. He never wants to lose the men to evil hands at any cost.
Of Course the God warned  Adam and Eve about the tree of knowledge of good and evil earlier so that they might be cautious of their life. The God expected Adam and Eve to obey his commands. Bitterly they failed to obey the commands of God and fell into the trap of satan. The satan deceived both Adam and Eve very cunningly. The serpent put a seed of disbelief in the heart of Eve. The serpent lied to Eve and made her to believe that the words of the God were false.  Some time we do not believe in the words of the Lord because they seem to be odd to follow in this world. Some time the words  seem to be lie rather than true. This a witty seed that is sown in our minds by satan and make us to get away from the Lord. Naturally, not only Adam and Eve but many of us fall into these traps. The Lord will never tell lies because He is holy. He is the way, the truth and life. If any one fails to obey His words, sin and curse will follow in his life. If any one sincerely obeys His words, he will receive His rewards.
The God sent his only begotten son Jesus into this world to deliver the mankind from evil hands. Jesus came to this world to redeem the people from sin and curse of this world. Jesus was sent to sacrifice his holy blood to deliver us from evil hands. The Lord seeks diligently till he redeems us. The joy of finding and getting back the lost wealth is wonderful for everyone. He never fails to find us even if we hid ourselves behind a fig tree like  Zacchaeus. You can not hid yourself behind the sins and curses of this world. Surely the Lord of mercy will call upon by your name. "the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. " John 10:3. When you hear His voice, come forward to receive the Lord. If you do so, your life will be transformed like Zacchaeus and you will become the sons and daughters of the everlasting Lord. What a joy to spell that i am the son of Jesus and daughter of Jesus. What a happy occasion, when my name is written on the book of life. The joy and happiness what our Lord Jesus promised us is immeasurable.Amen.

"As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold,  and one shepherd."
                                                                                     John 10:15,16

Twenty  Pieces of Silver

"They drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty  pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt."
                                                                                     Genesis 37:28

Joseph was a charming young boy. He was sold to Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver. He was sold to Ishmeelites by his own brothers. It was happened so because Joseph had revealed his dreams to his brothers which plotted the reign dominion over them. It erupted the anger and jealousy on Joseph. The dreams were given by God. The life of Joseph was plotted by God because the young little boy had a close affinity with the God. So the God was with Joseph.
I wonder how could this happen to a young innocent boy who persuaded his brother to enquire their welfare. Also I wonder how could this happen if the Lord was with Joseph. The brothers were angry with Joseph because Jacob loved Joseph more than all his sons. Also Joseph dreams were explaining about his dominion over his brothers. He explained two dreams to his brothers. They are

  •  We  were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.
  • Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.                                                                           Genesis 37:7,9
These two dreams really made his brothers to hate him more. The brothers wanted to kill Joseph to put an end to his dreams.   "And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him." Genesis 37:18. How hard to imagine that the brothers were ready to slay their own flesh even they knew he was young and innocent. When the young boy was approaching their brothers happily, they stripped off his coat and put him into a pit. "They stript Joseph out of his coat,  his coat of  many colours that  was on him;  And they took him, and cast him into a pit" Genesis 37 :23,24.
It was so sad to see  his own brothers were against him. Not only that, we had seen "What profit  is it if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?". Genesis 37:26. They wanted to get profit out of Joseph. They were unanimously ready to kill and conceal the blood of  Joseph. But they finally came to sell him to get some money. They sold Joseph for twenty pieces of silver to Ishmeelites
Was it an end of dreams?. The Lord was with Joseph even he travelled from Canaan to Egypt. The Lord was with Joseph and lifted him to become the Governor of Egypt. How wonderful to learn the mighty power of the Lord. The dreams of Joseph came into reality when his brothers approached him to buy grains at the time of famine all over the world. They all came to Egypt and bowed down before Joseph to seek his kindness. The dreams which are given by God will never fail, it will come at the right time.  "For the vision  is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."  Habakkuk 2:3
Even though Joseph went through the hard phase of his life, he never departed his Lord. Joseph forgave all his brothers at the end. He shew kindness and caring to his brothers all his life span.  "But as for you, ye thought evil against me;  but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as  it is this day, to save much people alive. Now therefore fear ye not: I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them." Genesis 50:20,21.
Our Lord Jesus was also  hated by his people. " He came unto his own, and his own received him not." John 1:11. He was envied by his own people. He was rejected by Israelites. Though God was with him, he was put into the hands of death. How could this happen even the Father was with Jesus as well. The Lord's planes are different. It is so hard for a man to understand when we go through pains and sorrows. "O LORD, how great are thy works!  and thy thoughts are very deep.  A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this." Psalm 92:5,6. The Lord plans our future. The pains and sorrows will surely  bring goodness in our life. The Lord is always with us even at the time of our pains and sorrows.
The Lord was priced for thirty pieces of silver. The soldiers parted His garments. "And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots" Matthew 27:35. The people were against Lord Jesus. They were ready to spill the blood of the innocent man. "He had done no violence, neither  was any deceit in his mouth." Isaiah 53:9. The Lord gave himself as a perfect lamb as ransom for our sin. Jesus spilled his holy blood to redeem us from curse and sin. Our Lord forgives all the sins of our life and will lift us to sit with him in heaven.

Hallelujah! Praise and Glory to Our Saviour Jesus for ever.

"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised  us up together, and made  us sit together in heavenly  places in Christ Jesus:  That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in  his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2: 4-9.
"He raiseth up the poor out of the dust,  and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set  them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory."I Samuel 2:8.
Amen.

Thirty Pieces of Silver

"They weighed for my price thirty  pieces of silver. And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty  pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.
                                                                      Zechariah 11:12,13

The man who was with Jesus betrayed him for just thirty pieces of silver. The Lord Jesus Christ  disciple Judas Iscariot served Jesus for more than 3 years betrayed him. He ate with him , slept with him and even he walked with Jesus all over the places where Jesus had gone. Judas Iscariot  saw the lepers were healed , the blinds got vision, and the tongue of the dump sing by the mighty touch of Jesus. Judas Iscariot had seen the son of God's innumerable miracles. Eventhough he had seen miracles and served the Lord Jesus, his eyes and heart were looking for money, money and nothing less. He finally made a secret covenant with the chief priest and bargained  thirty pieces of silver to betray Jesus. "Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, And said  unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver." Matthew 26 :14,15. From that time onwards Judas Iscariot was waiting for the opportunity to betray Jesus Christ. He followed Jesus Christ sincerely as a disciple to put him in the hands of high priests.
The chief priests priced thirty pieces of silver for Jesus Christ. The price was fixed for the Holy Lamb. Jesus surrender himself to the cross. "HE is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth." Isaiah 53:7. He never spoke a word and he meekly surrendered himself to the cross for us. The lamb was slayed for us on the cross. The son of man slayed for our sins. HE was betrayed and priced for thirty pieces of silver for our sins. When we earnestly come before the cross, the holy blood of the Lamb will surely clean our sins and burdens. The king of Kings and the Lord of Lords who created heaven and earth, men and women came to this world to deliver us form sin. HIS compassion and love for us is boundless. That is why he shed His blood for us.
HE CARVED US ON HIS PALM.
"Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of  my hands; thy walls  are continually before me."
                                                                             Isaiah 49:14,15,16

Lord's Book

"Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard  it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. "
                                                                                     Malachi 3: 16

Spirit of the LORD

“The Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward.”
 I Samuel 16:13
When David was anointed by Prophet Samuel, the Spirit of the Lord came upon him. From that day forward, the Spirit of the Lord strengthened David and guided him in all through his life. The Sprit of the Lord strengthened David to become a great warrior and then a great King of Israel. The Shepard boy was chosen to be the King of Israel because he exalted and glorified the Lord always. He used his harp to worship the Lord’s wonderful name.
When Saul and all Israel men were dismayed and afraid of the Philistine Goliath, the young boy David courageously came to rescue Israel. The Sprit of the Lord gave him the courage and strength to face the challenge of Goliath. He went to challenge Goliath neither with sword nor spear but with the mighty name of Lord of Israel. He single handedly delivered Israel from Philistines. The David put his faith on the Living Lord and not on the armories. The name of the Lord was shield and sward to him. That is why he refused to take the Saul’s armour, helmet, coat of mail and sword for this battle. He preferred to take shepherds staff, sling and stones to fight against a well armoured Goliath. He went to the battle with Praise on his mouth and faith in his heart on the Lord of hosts. The Sprit of the Lord gave him the power to smite the giant Goliath with a single stone. David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but  there was no sword in the hand of David.” I Samuel 17:50
Though David had five stones in his shepherd's bag, a stone is enough for him over come Goliath. That is what the name of the Lord is so powerful. His name is “Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace”. Isiah 9:6. When you put your faith on the Lord, his name alone will help you to over come all your troubles. When you completely rely on His name, he will come to you and satisfy all you desire.
1.       As his name is “Wonderful”, he will do wonders in your life.
2.      As his name is “Counseller”, he will keep His eyes upon you to instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go.
3.      As His name is “Mighty God”, He will do mighty things what you can’t imagine in your life.
4.      As His name is “Everlasting Father”, He cares you and provide all your needs according to his riches and be with you even unto the end of ages.
5.      As His name is “Prince of Peace”, He gives his peace to every one not as the world gives.
Jesus is the way, truth and life for you. When you come to Jesus, he will embrace you and transform your life with His Holy Spirit. He will make you new to do great things for your Lord. When you are so eager to get filled with Holy Spirit, He will fill you with Holy Spirit. He promised to give His Spirit to all who are really thirst for Him. When the Spirit of Lord come upon you, you will become the children of the great God. He will take care of all your worries and will give prominent peace and joy all throughout your life with His Holy Spirit. Amen.

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6

"Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. "

                                                                                     Isaiah 62:3

"பளிங்கைப்போல் தெளிவான ஜீவதண்ணீருள்ள சுத்தமான நதி தேவனும் ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவரும்  இருக்கிற சிங்காசனத்திலிருத்து  புறப்பட்டுவருகிறதை எனக்குக்  காண்பித்தான்."

வெளிப்படுத்தல் 22:1
